Why Lease or buy 2019 RAM 1500 in Wabash Indiana
On January 15, 2018, the fifth-generation RAM pickup truck debuted at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan as a 2019 model. The vehicle brand line-up includes the perennially popular 1500, which is the half-ton entry. The 2019 model is ranked the number-one full-size pickup truck by U.S. News & World Report, providing a superb ride quality, luxurious cabin, spacious and comfortable seats, and higher towing and hauling capabilities than most vehicles in its class.
Exterior – RAM 1500
The latest RAM 1500 is available with either a 5-foot 7-inch bed or a 6-feet 4-inch bed. Its base-level exterior features—at the Tradesman trim level—include automatic halogen quad headlamps, halogen taillights, and 18-inch steel wheels. At the Big Horn / Lone Star level, the steel wheels are replaced by 18-inch aluminum ones, and halogen fog lamps are applied below the headlights for wide and long beams of illumination. On the Laramie, longer-lasting and brighter LEDs replace the halogen bulbs of the headlights and fog lights; you will have to upgrade to the Rebel trim to have that same upgrade on the taillights. If you go with the Laramie Longhorn or Limited trim, the headlights are upgraded to bi-function LED projector headlights with automatic high beam control, and the truck bed is the recipient of LED lighting for improved visibility.
Interior – 2019 RAM 1500
The 2019 RAM 1500 is available in two four-door cabs, which are the Quad Cab and the larger Crew Cab. Depending on configuration, the truck can accommodate up to five or six people. Standard in the cabin are vinyl seat trim and 4-way manually adjustable front seats. At the Rebel trim level, vinyl is blended with cloth, and the driver’s seat is upgraded to 8-way power adjustability. Leather upholstery, driver-side memory system, front-seat heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and front-seat 8-way power adjustability with 4-way power lumbar support appear if you go with at least the Laramie. The Laramie Longhorn level extends heating ability to the second-row seats, and the Limited has its leather upholstery enhanced.
Mechanical – 2019 RAM 1500
The standard engine on the new RAM 1500 is a 3.6-liter Pentastar flex fuel-capable V6 engine, which provides 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. However, you do have a choice of swapping the V6 with a larger and more powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V8, which generates 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Each engine is hitched to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose between a rear-wheel drivetrain for improving fuel efficiency and towing capability; and a four-wheel-drive system for improving all-weather driving and traction performance. The 2019 RAM 1500’s suspension consists of a coil spring arrangement in the front, a five-link design in the rear, and shock absorbers and stabilizer bars on both ends to cushion you from turbulence on less-than-smooth driving surfaces. If you go with the Limited, this system is replaced by a four-corner air suspension for adjusting drivability with five ride height settings.

The RAM truck’s standard comfort and convenience features include remote keyless entry, a 3.5-inch TFT black-and-white vehicle information center, six-speaker audio, two USB ports and an audio jack for connecting portable devices, a third USB port that is solely for charging said devices, and Uconnect 3 infotainment integration with a 5-inch touchscreen. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls are added on the Big Horn / Lone Star. At the Rebel trim level, a 7-inch color TFT vehicle information center replaces the 3.5-inch one. Go with at least the Laramie to receive enhancements and additions such as dual-zone automatic climate control, nine-speaker audio, an integrated stack AM/FM radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration, and Uconnect 4 infotainment integration with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The Laramie Longhorn is further upgraded with HD Radio technology, a single-disc CD player, rear under-seat compartment storage, and a complimentary subscription to SiriusXM Traffic Plus. Exclusive to the Limited are a wireless charging pad called RamCharger, complimentary SiriusXM 360L satellite-radio service, and 12-inch touchscreen navigation. For restraint and cushioning in the event of a crash, this truck has dual front impact airbags, dual front seat-mounted side impact airbags, and dual roof-mounted side curtain airbags. Other standard safety features include electronic vehicle stability control and roll mitigation, traction control, hill start assist, low-beam daytime running lamps, an anti-lock disc braking system, brake assist, rain brake support, ready-alert braking, and a theft-deterrent system that consists of remote keyless entry and engine immobilization. A panic alarm is added on the theft-deterrent system of the Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. The Rebel is unique in that it has hill descent control, which ensures a safe drive down rough terrain without the need for pressing the brakes.
